17.1 Candidates will be able to locate a variety of technology resources, evaluate them for classroom use, and assist colleagues with this process.
I feel like I addressed key concept 17.1 in a few of the courses that I took through this program. In ET 605, we looked at and used a lot of different technology resources. In ET 691, the technology internship, we evaluated the resources for use and we assisted our colleagues with the process of utilizing the technology. From ET 605 I included the Technology Resource Website which I created that outlined eight technologies and how they could be used in a classroom. This project showed not only that I was able to locate a variety of technology resources, but I had to evaluate them for classroom use. It included a variety of resources such as Padlet, Answer Garden, and Thinglink that can be used by teachers for a multitude of activities from collaboration to assessment. In ET 691, I needed to locate a variety of technology tools based on the task that I was working on as well as considering the person that I was working with. For example, when working on creating an online video to be used for a professional development, I was able to use Screencast-o-matic and show them how to record and caption a video. With another individual, they were looking for an online assessment tool. I chose Kahoot because of the simplicity of it. Both of these choices of technology were based on the need as well as the user and their comfort with the tech

17.2 Candidates will be able to locate funding opportunities to enhance technology resources.
Key concept 17.2 was addressed in ET 680 with the grant funding paper. In this project our group chose a technology and researched funding opportunities as if we were trying to implement this technology in a school. We chose the technology of a makerspace. We researched six grants including how to apply, the criteria, the amount of money that was being offered, and if there were any restrictions on how to use it. I believe that grant writing can be a game changer for schools and technology integration. As a technology leader, exploring and applying for grants can really boost the technology resources in a building
